Together, we operate the largest electric distribution system in the state. More than 1.5 million South Carolinians in all 46 counties use electricity from electric cooperatives. 

Who We Are

Executive Committee

E. Leroy (Toy) Nettles, Jr., president & CEO of Pee Dee Electric Cooperative in Darlington is chairman of the Board of Trustees of ECSC.  He was elected to the position in December of 2011.  Nettles succeeded Norris R. Fowler, Jr., chairman of the board of Broad River Electric Cooperative in Gaffney, who remains on the executive committee in 2012 as an ex-officio member.

Marvin W. Sox, vice chairman of the board of Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative in Lexington, is vice chairman of the statewide association.

Bob Paulling, CEO of Tri-County Electric Cooperative in St. Matthews, is secretary-treasurer of the statewide association.

Executive committee members are Charles R. (Dick) Burrell, vice chairman of the board of York Electric Cooperative, and William L. (Bill) Fleming, president & CEO of Marlboro Electric Cooperative in Bennettsville.
