Green power is electricity generated by renewable resources like solar and decomposing garbage in selected landfills. These resources are replenished naturally and minimize harm to the environment.

It's basically a three step process.
 
What are the benefits of being a green power partner? | print |  email
Renewable resources replace themselves naturally so they produce little or no air pollutants or waste. Landfill gas is the only renewable energy source that, when used, actually removes pollution from the atmosphere.
 
Green Power Solar Schools | print |  email
Over the next few years, electric cooperatives and the state-owned utility, Santee Cooper, will install solar panels at schools across the state.
